The winner of the Unique Lifestyle competition…

5 Jun

I ran a competition in my free monthly newsletter and the prize was two tickets to attend the Shape Wellness workshop in Cape Town. All one had to do was tell me why you deserved to win. Of all the entries I received Halley was the most deserving.

This is what she had to say after the workshop:

First of all, from my mom and I, thank you so much!!!!!!!

Being a wife, mom and employee at a company I felt that I was loosing myself in my life and not fully living it.  I thought I was doing a great job living my life by just caring for others.  Wow! was I fooling myself.
My aha -moment came when you said that “me-time” should be diarised like any other appointment or activity. I’ve applied that advice and it works for me.  I now have time for myself and because of that I feel treasured and important. Everybody says that I somehow seem more light- hearted and energised.

The Shape Wellness Workshop reminded me that I am very important and also need care.  I can tell you, Sandy that I felt like Cinderella at the ball.  The goodie bag that I received was full of wonderful gifts which I really appreciated. I’m taking small steps to healthy living, but I feel like a million dollars already.

Thanks to you and Shape Magazine, I’m enjoying my life again and looking forward to the next Wellness Workshop.

Shape Wellness Workshops

11 Apr

As women we have multiple roles and they keep piling up.  I have found one of the main causes of weight problems in women is that the responsibility and demands placed on them every day usually result in not making time for their own needs.

My primary focus has been to get women to put themselves back on their “to do” list – to find ways to relax and pamper themselves and to find balance. The Shape Wellness Workshops in May offer women the opportunity to do just that!

I’m very excited to have been invited to speak. I hope you’ll take some time out to treat yourself because you deserve it.

From the Shape Website

With plenty of solid health advice from our expert speakers, you’ll learn something new. Come and spoil yourself with goodies from our sponsors and an entire afternoon’s pampering, courtesy of a host of therapists. You’re in for a treat that’ll leave you relaxed, refreshed and feeling great!”

Low Fat Food For Your Mind, Body and Soul!

8 Aug

Low Fat Food For your Mind, Body and Soul is the first book to look at weight loss holistically by dealing not only with the food your body needs, but also with the nourishment you in need in mind and soul to successfully lose weight!

The book is currently selling for R150, and can ordered directly through my website

www.uniquelifestyle.co.za

If you have any queries, or require more information, please feel free to email me at

sandy@uniquelifestyle.co.za

The following are just a few of the reviews of the book, which has been featured in many top South African magazines…

“So there I am contemplating where my navel has gone, when this delicious little book lands on my desk and tells me that to lose weight, I must not only change the way I eat, but the way I think too “jaa sure” I think. And then I cant stop reading until the last page by which time I am fuelled with motivation. Goldberg, whose nine-year weight battle was shored with denial, quick fix approaches, and stress, finally acknowledged that heathy eating, a mental lifestyle overhaul, and a goal (as well as that little black dress reward) was the way to go. You would do well to adapt rather than adopt Miss Piggy’s advice “Never eat more than you can lift!”

And great motivational tips will nourish your soul.”
